Einmaliges Camping und Wander Abenteuer ⛰️ Ich hatte eine tolle Tour auf den Rinjani. Ich habe 3 Tage und 2 Nächte gebucht und vorab den Drop Off und Pick up wählen können sowie eine Nacht vorab im Dorf verbracht. Die Option kann ich nur empfehlen, vom Dorf hat man einen super Blick auf die Reisfelder. Die Tour war super organisiert und ich war in einer Gruppe mit anderen Reisenden. Das Camp ist sehr bequem und wird von den Portern getragen und aufgebaut und das Essen ist auch total lecker und viel. Zwischendurch gab es auch immer wieder Snacks und Tee/Kaffee. The best time hiking Mount rinjani!!! I had an AMAZING 3 days hiking Mount rinjani!! It was organised really well and the food was so good. Our guide David was incredible and made the experience so happy and fun I will never forget it! It is challenging but so worth once you reach the top for sunrise!!! We had the option of what route to take back down and they listened to our preferences and we got to see a beautiful waterfall. Incredible and challenging trek – absolutely worth it I did the Rinjani trek with my Friends starting from Sembalun and trekking down via Torean, and it was one of the most memorable experiences I have ever had. It is definitely a tough trek and very demanding physically, but it is 100% worth it. The crater views were an absolute highlight and gave me such a strong feeling of achievement. People say this is one of the hardest treks in Southeast Asia, and after doing it, I can believe it. But the reward is amazing: unique nature, breathtaking scenery, and moments you will never forget. Our guides were fantastic — funny, supportive, and they made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The camping was beautiful, the trek down via Torean was stunning, and the hot springs are a must. One of the best moments was relaxing there and then washing in the river — it felt so refreshing and special. This trek is hard, but if you are prepared, it is an unforgettable adventure and a real personal success. Highly recommended. German: Ich habe den Rinjani-Trek mit meinen Freunden über Sembalun gemacht und bin über Torean wieder abgestiegen. Es war unglaublich anstrengend, aber es hat sich komplett gelohnt. Für mich war es eines der eindrucksvollsten Erlebnisse überhaupt. Der Krater war ein absolutes Highlight und man hat dort wirklich ein großes Erfolgsgefühl. Es heißt oft, dass dies einer der schwierigsten Treks in Südostasien ist — und genau so fühlt es sich auch an. Aber die Landschaft, die Natur und die ganze Atmosphäre machen alles wieder wett. Die Guides waren super: lustig, hilfsbereit und haben die Tour noch schöner gemacht. Das Zelten war wunderschön, die Natur einzigartig und auch der Abstieg über Torean war einfach toll. Die Hot Springs sind ein absolutes Muss. Dort zu entspannen und sich danach im Fluss zu waschen, war einfach wunderbar. Der Trek ist definitiv nicht leicht, aber er lohnt sich total. Mt Stampol track We did the Mt. Stampol track, because the Rinjani was closed. It was a great experience. The hike was pretty intense but our guide paid attention to our pace, which we appreciated a lot. We felt well taken care of throughout. The evening before the trek we were invited to break the fast with the owner’s family for Ramadan, that was really special and not something we expected. Would definitely recommend it.

Essential Mount Rinjani Travel Guide & FAQs

The official trekking season runs during the dry season, from April to January. The peak weather window is between July and September when skies are completely clear. Mount Rinjani National Park is strictly closed during the rainy season (typically January to March) for safety and conservation recovery.

While the crater rim trails are manageable for anyone with decent cardio fitness, the final push to the 3,726-meter summit from the Sembalun campsite is physically demanding. It involves a steep incline over loose volcanic ash and scree (gravel). No technical climbing skills are required, but a solid level of physical fitness and mental determination is highly recommended.
